Across the bottom of the Editing/Viewing window are 6 buttons. The 'Save' button saves the current record. If it is a new entry it creates a new record. If it is an existing record whose data has been changed the old data is overwritten.
The 'S/New' button is used to save an existing record as a new and unique record. This would be useful if you wanted to save a record under both the Last name and Company fields. The 'New' button clears the screen and prepares the window for data to be entered to create a new record. The 'Find' button allow the user to search for a certain string. Just enter the desired string in the "Last' name field and click 'Find.' To find more occurances of the same string click the 'Next' button. The 'Delete' button deletes the current record. Before deletion the user is presented with a small dialog box asking whether you are sure you want to permanently delete the record. |
