Using the Inspector

The Inspector displays the properties of your smoovies.

To view the Inspector do the following:

  1. select View > Show Inspector or click Inspector in the toolbar.
  2. Clicking the button again hides the inspector.

The contents of the Inspector will change depending on whether you are in the Library or the Editor.

When viewing the Inspector in the Library, the title, creation date and duration will be displayed for the currently selected smoovie, along with a preview of the first frame in the smoovie.

Within the Editor, the inspector allows adjustment of smoovie properties. In this mode the inspector is split into two sections; the upper section relates to properties of the entire smoovie while the lower section relates to properties of the currently selected scene or scenes.

In the upper section the following smoovie properties can be set:

  1. The title of you smoovie. See Renaming smoovies.
  2. The music soundtrack to accompany your smoovie. See Adding a Music Soundtrack.
  3. The aspect ratio of your smoovie. See Adjusting the Aspect Ratio.
  4. The option of whether or not to include a credit frame at the end of your smoovie when it is shared.

In the lower section the following scene properties can be set:

  1. The name of the currently selected scene. See Renaming a scene.
  2. The playback speed of the currently selected scene. See Adjusting the Playback Speed.
  3. The cropping mode of the currently selected scene. This determines whether images are letterboxed or cropped when they don't match the smoovie's aspect ratio. See Adjusting the Cropping Mode.
